Mears Landscaping was a miracle worker! Their crew worked in our backyard to clear some invasive vines that had been growing for 20 years! They also trimmed and cleared other plants, weeds and leaves that should have been dealt with long ago! And they worked their magic in a day and a half! Mears also put down fresh soil, plastic sheeting and mulch for winter. They’ll be back in the spring to landscape the area! My thanks to Will Mears and the crew for the great job.

How much does the Automower Cost?
For the average sized lawn in Kansas City, we recommend the Husqvarna 430XH, which retails for $2,500. This mower can mow up to .8 acres.
What if I want to lease an Automower?
Mears Lawn & Landscape offers leasing options which are billed monthly over 8 months. Leasing prices vary based on the size and complexity of your lawn. Lease programs start at $200 per month for 8 months. Mower installation is billed separately.
Can the mower remove leaves?
The mower is not designed to mow or mulch leaves or other lawn debris, such as sticks. Mears Lawn & Landscape does offer leaf removal services and can add this to your annual maintenance plan, if desired.
Does it mow over large tree roots?
If the mower is unable to mow over your tree roots due to their size, we recommend placing a boundary wire around the tree to avoid mowing those areas. We recommend including those areas as part of weedeating/trimming or consider landscaping these areas with rock or mulch.
What if I have a fence?
There are many different solutions for installing a robotic mower if you have a fence. One option is to install a fence door, specifically designed for the Automower. We can also customize your installation plan to accommodate when the mower operates inside of the fenced area. We can discuss all fencing options with you during a consultation.
How does the mower know to stay out of my landscaping?
The Automower is installed using boundary wires and guide wires. The guide wires help it move throughout the lawn and the boundary wires keep it from mowing in undesired areas, like landscaping beds.

Mears Maintenance options
Silver Membership
Your lawn will be cut by a robotic mower daily. Once a month, a robotic mowing specialist will replace the mower blades and clean the unit on site. All necessary repairs and updates on the mower are included. We will store the mower for you during the winter months.
Gold Membership
Along with everything included in the silver membership, we will perform trimming, edging and blowing of all hard surfaces every other week during the growing season. All the benefits of a lawn care service, with a healthier always maintained lawn, at a consistent and low monthly cost!
